UPDATE 2:07pm---Alvaro Nunez, 55 of Sellersville, Ala had been identified as the body that was found Sunday night.
A body was found in Geneva County Sunday night.
A motorist made the gruesome discovery after 7 P.M. less than ten yards off Goat Hill Road.
There was no identification of the victim.
He is only described as a Hispanic male whose age is unclear at this time.
Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward described the death as suspicious, but an exact cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.
Goat Hill Road is a commonly used route between Geneva and the Florida state line.
The body was discovered in a rural location where the next closest home is approximately a half mile away.
“We are interviewing the motorist to see how they found the body. We simply don’t have the I.D. and have a lot of unanswered questions at this time, and we hope to have some answers before long,” said Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward.
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation of the deceased male.
