BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Enrollment at the University of Alabama has topped 30,000 for the first time ever.
The school says a record 30,232 students are enrolled. That's up 1,425 students over fall 2009.
UA President Robert E. Witt says the school is improving and lauded the academic credentials of its freshman class.
Enrollment at UA is up 54.1 percent since fall 2002.
