One area organization is urging wiregrass residents to go to work in a T-shirt and blue jeans.

It’s all in support of the wiregrass March of Dimes "Blue Jeans for Babies" campaign.

Maylana is this year's ambassador child for the March of Dimes. She weighed a mere 1 lb. 13 oz. at birth. Today, she's a healthy 18-month-old toddler.

Organizers say by participating in the Blue Jeans for Babies campaign, you could help give babies like Malayna, a fighting chance.

“Everyday when i get an email or a phone call about a child that was born premature or a child that lost it's fight, that just makes me more determined to get out there and bring awareness to the march of dimes and raise money for the march of dimes,” said Cue McCollister, Director for the March of Dimes.

Blue Jeans for Babies will take place on November 12.
