Teens Injured in Golf Cart Accident

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Three teenagers were injured in a golf cart accident in a Hoover neighborhood.
Hoover Police Capt. Jim Coker said the accident happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday along Orchard Avenue.
Coker said two girls and one boy, all 15 years old, were taken to Children's Hospital for treatment.
Their names were not immediately released.
This is at least the third golf cart accident in Hoover this year involving injuries.
In March, 15-year-old Thomas Messina died after falling off a golf cart in the Trace Crossings community.
Coker said "this is almost an epidemic.
These things are just not designed to use on streets."
