Highland Oaks golf course played host to the first Save-A-Pet golf tournament.
It is the first major fundraiser this year put on by the Save-A-Pet group.
Dozens of golfers donated their time and money to make a difference for needy animals.
“We needed to raise some money just like every other charitable organization does to help further our cause which is to save as many unwanted animals as possible,” said President of Save-A-Pet, Patty Pelham.
Event organizers hope to raise 5 to 6 thousand dollars through the tournament.
