BREWTON, Ala. (AP) - A 49-year-old former high school special
education teacher pleaded guilty to drug and pornography charges
and will spend the next three years in prison.

Officers arrested Brewton resident Larry Tindell in February
2009.

Prosecutors say investigators made video and audio tapes of Tindell providing cash and prescription drugs to former students to perform sex acts while he watched.

The Press-Register reports investigators testified that a search of the former W.S. Neal High School teacher's home turned up a storage container filled with sex toys and pornographic images.

Under a plea bargain, authorities dropped 10 charges and Tindell
pleaded guilty to two. He could have received up to 30 years in
prison and $45,000 in fines if convicted on all charges.
