U.S. Congressman from Alabama Bobby Bright was in Dothan Monday, explaining a recent controversial comment.

Representative Bright spoke today at the Rotary Club meeting at the Wiregrass Rehab Center.

Last week, the democrat made a comment regarding House Speaker and fellow democrat, Nancy Pelosi.

Bright was asked if he would cast a vote for Pelosi as speaker.

Bright said he would take a wait and see approach because he's not sure what's going to happen in the near future.

His final response was that Pelosi “might even get sick and die."

Here's his explanation:

“I never mean any malicious intent against anyone and I didn't when I made that statement. I was only giving a list of occurrences that might happen, it was taken out of context, and turned and twisted,” said Rep. Bright.

Bright is up for re-election in the November general election.

Bobby Bright is a wolf in sheep clothing. He is really a republican at heart. He ran as a democrat so he could ride in on Obama's coat tale.
