The Enterprise tornado in 2007 killed 9 people, destroyed many homes, and interrupted lives.
But it didn't break the spirit of the community.
This weekend Enterprise High School opened its doors to its first enrollment class in the new facility.
School officials held an open house Saturday for juniors and seniors and Sunday for sophomores and the members of the community.
The completion of the $8 million project ends the sharing of facilities with other schools.
"Our students were spread out over 5 locations the last 2 years. The buses ran continuously for 3 years running kids around,” says Rick Rainer, Principal of Enterprise High.
Monday, August 23rd is the first day of class and Principal Rainer expects to see more than 1,500 students.
