MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama officials say former Mobile County assistant district attorney Steven John Giardini has been arrested and charged with crimes related to child pornography.
Giardini formerly specialized in the prosecution of sex crimes against children for Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson.
The state attorney general's office said Giardini was arrested on Tuesday and accused of trying to solicit a 15-year-old girl to produce pornography. The girl was actually an FBI agent in the Internet Crimes Against Children division.
Giardini was released on $250,000 bond. His attorney, Dennis Knizley, told the Press-Register that his client denies the allegations.
