Elba Talent Show

For the second time this summer, Just Folk Coffee House in Elba has held an open mic night attracting young talent from across western Wiregrass and beyond.

Rev. Mart Gray owns and operates the coffee house on the downtown square. Over the weekend, more than a dozen performers came out to showcase their talents. Admission was free and Rev. Gray says it's a great way to spend an evening listening to saxophone players, or perhaps guitarists. The musical talent covers a wide gambit.

"Yes, it's something to do on a summer evening. A chance for these talented people to perform before family and friends. A great time to get together and of fellowship," said Rev. Gray.

At this time, Rev. Gray hasn't set the next open mic night but if you would like more information, you can call 897-8524.

I love the open mic nights. It is such a relaxing atmosphere and we get to hear local talent.
