The 10 finalists are residents in nursing homes across Alabama.
They will compete in a pageant at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wynfrey
Hotel in Hoover.
The original field of 67 contestants was narrowed to 10
finalists in preliminary judging. The finalists are Marilyn
Crutchman of Opelika, Josephine Robnett of Tuscumbia, Frances
Franklin of Haleyville, Opaline Harper of Hanceville, Barbara
Jackson of Abbeville, Evelyn Lorene Daugherty of Lineville, Mary
Margaret Stone of Pell City, Hilda Slaton of Gadsden, Janet Kay
Shoemaker Ratliff, of Alabaster, and Margaret Vincent of Cullman.
