The city of Abbeville is finally getting back some much needed FEMA money.

Back in March and December of 2009, flooding severely damaged roads in the city.

Lack of FEMA money forced city officials to take 10-percent of their budget to fix the roads, and take out a loan.

Last week, Congress approved FEMA funding.

In the next two weeks officials with Abbeville will be receiving a little more than $70,000 dollars.

The funds will go towards the loan taken out at Peoples South Bank.
