Wrongly Imprisoned Man Tries Out For NFL

A man who spent years in prison for a rape he did not commit gets the opportunity of a lifetime.

The NFL's San Diego Chargers brought 26-year-old Brian Banks to their training complex to put him through the paces with the linebacker coach.

Once a star high school athlete, Banks lost his football scholarship to U-S-C when he was imprisoned on rape and kidnapping charges.

Now that his name has been cleared, he hopes to show he still has the athleticism for a career in football.

"Each time he gets a chance, he's gonna improve and, uhh, he has a ways to go to where he would be comfortable coming into a camp."

Banks served five years of a six-year sentence, having pleaded guilty to avoid an even longer sentence.

The California Innocence Project took up the case when the woman who accused Banks recanted her testimony years later.

He was exonerated, last month.
