A San Antonio man is doing his part to spread some holiday cheer, as best he can.
He's driving around the city delivering tress to families in need.
Stephanie Serna finds out what's behind this new Christmas tradition.
You can say they are delivering Christmas...
Door to door.. Leonard Alvarado and his family are making the rounds giving trees to families that might not otherwise get a Christmas tree this year.
"It's a little overwhelming to see the families that are really, really in need. We just left a house right now that had no electricity, no water. They have five little kids running around."
And it's not just the trees.
There are lights and ornaments and Santa is even making an appearance to help set everything up.
"It helps the kids in every way. We've been having a hard time this year. This is helping us out a lot. It helps out the kids, they're real happy.
And that's why Leonard says he wanted to help.
He wanted to make sure that families here would not go without Christmas.
"Last year, I saw a little girl and she had a couple of kids, and I felt really bad because it was like three days before Christmas and there was no tree. There were no presents."
So, this year, Leonard asked his Facebook friends to put him in touch with families in need.
And, so far, he's handed out about half a dozen trees.
"Thank you. Thank you very much. We're grateful for that, you know."
"I saw it on Facebook and I thought it was very sweet of him to help people out. "
Leonard says this is his first year delivering the trees, but he's hoping he can help even more families next year.
He's also hoping his own kids will do the same thing when they get older.
