Teen Patients Have Prom at NYC Children's

Seriously ill patients, ages 13 to 19, attend a hospital prom at New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

It's prom season and teenagers across the country are celebrating this rite of passage.

Despite their chronic and life-threatening illnesses, approximately 80 patients and their guests at the New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Chidren's Hospital are also attending their own prom- at the Hospital.

Professional hairstylists and makeup artists from Bloomingdale's and the Paul Mitchell Beauty School will pamper and provide the full salon treatment prior to the big event.

Patients will dress to impress in prom gowns and formal wear provided by Bloomingdale's and an anonymous donor.

Afterwards, they will walk the red carpet and pose for prom photos upon entering the "Evening Around the World" themed ballroom.
