IA Historic Home For Sale for $1

You can buy a historic mason city home for a steal... Its selling for just a dollar.

It's quite the fixer upper.

But there's a catch.

City officials say the buyer will have to dismantle, move, and repair the flood-damaged home.

That's expected to run at least 300-thousand dollars.

The house, built in 1939 by dr. William and Margaret Egloff, was damaged in the 2008 floods.

Last year the city bought it for 314-thousand dollars through a government buyout program, and has been trying to find ways of saving it ever since.
