You can buy a historic mason city home for a steal... Its selling for just a dollar.
It's quite the fixer upper.
But there's a catch.
City officials say the buyer will have to dismantle, move, and repair the flood-damaged home.
That's expected to run at least 300-thousand dollars.
The house, built in 1939 by dr. William and Margaret Egloff, was damaged in the 2008 floods.
Last year the city bought it for 314-thousand dollars through a government buyout program, and has been trying to find ways of saving it ever since.
