It's the battle of the grannies this weekend in Iowa.
Eight teams of ladies over 50 will duke it out on a Des Moines basketball court as part of the Iowa Senior Olympics.
Molly Nichols spoke to grannies on one team who say they are all geared up for the big tournament.
Meet the cedar rapid sizzlers.
One of eight granny basketball teams from around the state that won't let age slow down their game.
"You have to be over 50 to play, but I'd say a majority are over 60 and I find them as my mentors. If they can do it at 60, 70 and some 80 years olds, I hope I'm half as good as they are."
The sizzlers meet once a week at a local gym for stretching, shooting, but mostly, socializing.
"It's meant to slow down for women over 50. Although, the 50 year olds are pretty fast. But we try to range the rules so that nobody gets hurt."
"I never think about it. I just have fun doing it. It's something I like. So I just do it."
"This isn't just a competition on the court. It's also a competition to see who has the cutest grandkids. Who is it gals?"
"I do (all together)."
But when tournament time comes, they step up their skills.
The sizzlers say they want that state title.
"Have a good time and we actually do fundraisers too around the state. We're quite competitive, yes.
There are technicals called and, you know, things like that."
"We're hot. We're sizzling."
"Watch out! The Sizzlers are coming to town."
"Go Sizzlers (all together)!"
