Dominos Pizza On The Moon

That's one small step for man and one giant leap for extra cheese and pepperoni.

Domino's Pizza's Japanese division says it is in the planning stages of opening a restaurant on the moon.

A spokesman tells The Daily Telegraph that the company is working with a design firm to come up with a two-story dome that will serve as a prep kitchen, restaurant, and living quarters for the staff.

The company says the entire project will cost about 22-billion-dollars, with more than seven-billion and 15 rocket launches needed to transport 70 tons of construction materials, cooking equipment and pizza toppings to the lunar surface.

In 2001, Pizza Hut delivered a pizza to the astronauts on board the International Space Station.
