Nine-year-old cat beat the odds and survived a 14-story fall out of a Manhattan highrise Monday (6/13).
The owner says the window was only opened a little but the 12-pound cat managed to squeeze out anyway.
When Angela Lang, her owner, discovered what happened she called her building manager. He got a ladder and rescued Copper.
Copper was rushed to a nearby animal hospital where Lang was told that Copper might not survive her injuries.
Against the odds, Copper is recovering from a collapsed lung and fractured bones in both legs.
Lang has now installed brand new window screens to prevent this from happening again.
