They wanted to be noticed, and their plan worked.
A group of people took off all their clothing and rode through Portland, Oregon this weekend as part of the annual World Naked Bike Ride.
Thousands participated in the event Saturday (6/18,) cruising through the heart of town.
The Portland ride is one of many that happen in cities across the globe. They started as a protest against fossil fuels and a demonstration supporting bike riding.
Police officers were on scene to monitor the route and help make sure riders safely get through intersections.
Riding a bike while naked is perfectly legal in Oregon. State law only prohibits people from being naked in public if they are performing a sexual act or if they expose themselves with the “intent of arousing sexual desire.”
