“Paranormal Activity 4” – Starring Kathyrn Newton, Katie Featherston (Rated R; Paramount Pictures) – “Paranormal Activity 4” is the latest sequel in the popular found-footage horror movie franchise. It focuses on a group of teenagers using laptops to document unusual supernatural occurrences that may have a familial connection. The movie will see both rated and unrated releases on Blu-Ray and DVD.
“Hotel Transylvania” – Starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James (Rated PG; Sony Pictures Home Entertainment) – For a horror-themed film that is more family-friendly, “Hotel” is the latest work from “Dexter’s Laboratory” creator Genndy Tartakovsky. The animated picture focuses on an ordinary person attending a party full of ghouls, ghosts and goblins. The movie is being released on both Blu-Ray and DVD.
“My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic – Pinkie Pie Party – Starring Andrea Libman, Tara Strong (Shout! Factory) – This single-disc release focuses on the pink pony that is the element of laughter, Pinkie Pie. The release of the series popular with both young girls and an ever-growing segment of adult fans will feature five episodes starring that character. This DVD-only release is a Wal-Mart exclusive release.
