“I’ve worked in this industry for the past 15 years, but the last two years have been slow,”
(Dothan,Al)—Construction is almost finished on four new buildings in Dothan.
An Allsouth Urgent Care Clinic and Bojangles restaurant are going up on the east side of Ross Clark circle and Highway 84 West. Meanwhile, another UC facility and Del Taco restaurant are also being constructed on Highway 84 West.
According to construction worker Terry Cunningham, finding work has been a challenge for a while which is why he’s grateful for the change of pace.
“I’ve worked in this industry for the past 15 years, but the last two years have been slow,” Cunningham said. “It’s nice to have these buildings go up, because they need workers right now and they’ll need employees when they open,” he said.
There’s no word yet on how many employees each medical facility will hire but contractors say it will help the area. Del Taco will have its grand opening April 3rd; meanwhile Bojangles should open by late May.
