The ribbon cutting ceremony took place this morning with city leaders. The exhibit took 8 months to build and will be home to 5 male gators.
Unfortunately they were a little shy this morning but once acclimated to their surroundings they'll move closer to the windows and out onto the island. Zoo officials say that it is time to give them a more natural habitat.
