CBS News has confirmed federal investigators are looking into a potential safety defect in some air bags in more than one million vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has six reports of air bags rupturing.
The investigation covers vehicles from 2002 through 2006 made by Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota and Chrysler.
