There's a whole lot to look at at this exotic and unusual antique shop in Port Hope, Canada, but there's one piece that stands above the rest.
A 22 foot tall Optimus Prime stands guard just outside the entrance of primitive designs
Rhonda Cook, the owner of Primitive Designs, explains, “we were trying to find something that was really dynamic and sort of to blow everything else we had out of the water because we have a lot of unusual things here ... But we had to come up with something pretty spectacular.”
The 2 ton behemoth was actually built in Asia before being shipped in parts to his new home last fall. The reactions have been out of this world.
Cook shares a story about the giant robot, “This lady showed up with her little boy and we were closed and the gates were closed and what she had done was hide his eyes and didn't tell him where he was going ... he jumped higher than the fence he was so excited when he got out of the car.”
Statues inspired by Bumblebee and Megatron also patrol the grounds.
The owners won’t reveal how much it cost to have these icons constructed. However, just like everything else in the store, they can be yours, if the price is right!
