Wiregrass children learn the in's and out's of forensic science.
Wallace Community College instructors held a program this morning exposing children to the criminal justice system. This hand's on experience allowed participants to learn about different fingerprinting techniques and crime scene tools. Organizers say programs like this help peak further interest into the criminal justice career field.
"The better educated these young people are in criminal justice and forensic investigation, the better the profession will be in the future," said Jason Owen, a criminal justice instructor at Wallace Community College.
This afternoon's program was held at the Westgate Library.
