Selma St. Elementary Students to get Sidewalks

Selma Street Elementary school students will soon be able to take the sidewalk to school.

It's part of the Safe Routes to School Program.

It's designed to make walking and biking to school much safer.

"We've done some small projects with elementary schools but, this is the first time that we've got a safe routes to school grant to do that, the significant thing it's 100 percent funded," said Dothan City Manager Mike West.

The city hopes to soon get more areas approved for sidewalks.
