Echo Fire & Rescue Celebrates Thirty Years

The Echo Fire and Rescue Department in Dale County celebrates thirty years of service with a fun day for the community.

The event featured free food, inflatables for children and music. Many Dale County officials spoke at the celebration as well. The new station was also dedicated to founding members Gene and Jimmy Ward.

"Today was just kind of a day for us to give back to them, we invited the whole community out that way they could come out and tour the facility to see basically what their money has built over the last thirty years," said Fire Chief Eric Blankenship.

The Echo Fire and Rescue team completed renovations to their new facility. They have been working on the building for five years.
