Coffee County Hosts Farm Day 2014

A warm, sunny day greeted patrons who made a trip to New Brockton for Farm Day 2014.

Activities welcomed families and children of all ages. Participants were treated to master gardener classes, safety sessions and live music. Vendors were also on hand to sell homemade goods as well. Organizers say it was a moment to showcase a thriving industry in the area.

"We're just trying to make the community aware of how Agriculture is so great here in Coffee County and we're proud to be apart of that,” said David B. Garrett, a County Extension Coordinator for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

The agriculture committee of the enterprise chamber of commerce sponsored the event.
