Reporter: AP

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) -- Former Auburn tailback Mike Dyer testified that his gun was used in the robbery allegedly committed by Antonio Goodwin and three other teammates.

The Opelika-Auburn News reports that Dyer said Wednesday he and other Auburn players smoked spice, or synthetic marijuana, the night of the alleged robbery in March 2011.

The BCS championship game MVP two seasons ago, Dyer has transferred to Arkansas State.

He testified for the prosecution in Goodwin's trial but Lee County Circuit Court Judge Christopher Hughes twice admonished him to only answer the questions asked.

Dyer says he was hanging out with Goodwin and co-defendants Dakota Mosley and Shaun Kitchens at the house of current Auburn receiver DeAngelo Benton on the night of the robbery.

Benton and former Auburn defensive back Neiko Thorpe also testified.
