Faith Academy Wins Class 5A South Regonal Championship

Jasmine Rhodes has been on a mission this season, lead her team back to the Class 5A Final Four. On Friday, Rhodes and the Faith Academy Rams earned that return trip to Birmingham, pounding B.C. Rain 72-54 at the South Regional Final.

With the win, Faith Academy advanced to the Class 5A semifinals next week to face the winner of Brewer and Columbia. Brewer knocked the Rams out of the playoffs last year.

Rhodes took Friday's Regional Final over from the opening tip. The LSU commit scored 24 points in the first half, en route to her second straight 30+ point game at the Dothan Civic Center.

Faith Academy led 45-20 at halftime, and extended the lead to 30 for most of the second half. B.C. Rain made a late run to cut the eventual margin to 18 points.

Angel Carthen added 10 points for the Rams.Kierra Jackson had 20 points to lead B.C. Rain, which ends the year with a 23-5 record.
