Post 12 Takes Care of Columbiana Post 131 Again

Reporter: Paul Stockman

Dothan Post 12 continues to impress at the now-named "David Prince Invitational." The Dozen beat Columbiana Post 131 on a rainy Saturday afternoon to clinch first place in Pool A.

This game, much like Friday's contest between the two, started in favor of Columbiana. They got on the board first, but Post 12 tied things up in the bottom half of the second and took a 2 to 1 lead. Columbiana tied things at 2 in the third.

Post 12 then put on a hitting display with two homers in the next two innings. Blake Floyd went yard with a two-run blast in the third inning and Gabriel Granger had a two-run bomb of his own in the fourth to give Post 12 a 6-2 lead.

Columbiana put up one more run in the 7th, but ultimately the Dozen came away with the win.

They are undefeated in this tournament and have outscored opponents 41-8 in four games.
