The Love Can Food Drive Wraps Up

Love Can volunteers, like Kaley Grantham, show that just a little bit of planning and a big heart can go a long way for the community.

"Some people barely have any clothes, they can't eat just like we can. They're not picky saying 'I don't want a sandwich for dinner or anything. They have to eat what they get so I think it's important that people bring this food so the children that need it will have it."

They've spent only a week of planning, two days of collecting cans in the heat, and now love can volunteers say the reward is great.

"It feels fabulous! Great! Wheehooo!"

But the volunteers couldn't have done it by themselves.
The Wiregrass community pitched in and did their part as well.

"It's important for all of us to help the community, whether it be with food, or our monies, or our time."

"Community is family and families help each other. I just think this is another way, as a family, that we can help and pull together to promote the community."

"They did it! And that means that's a lot of love for your community and we appreciate it. Without these people we couldn't do it."

"Love can make a difference in your community."

Even if it's just one mouth at a time.
