AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- A candlelight vigil is being planned at Auburn University to remember the three people gunned down at a party.
University spokesman Mike Clardy tells the Opelika-Auburn News (http://bit.ly/MrvtUZ) that plans for the vigil are in the works, but details about when it will be held are still being ironed out.
A three-day manhunt for a suspect charged with killing the three people in Auburn ended Tuesday night, with Desmonte Leonard walking into a federal courthouse in Montgomery and turning himself in.
Leonard was being held early Wednesday in a Montgomery jail. Authorities say he opened fire after a fight over a woman at Saturday's pool party.
Montgomery lawyer Susan James, who helped to arrange the surrender, said "when the full story is told, it may sound different than the perception now."
