Troy Police Investigate Shooting at Star Cafe

Troy Police responded to a reported shooting at approximately 1:45 am Sunday at a business known as the Star Cafe on US Highway 231 South according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

The shooting is the result of an altercation between two black males in the business. The shooting is reported to have occurred outside the business. The victim was shot in the neck with a handgun.

The suspect ran from the establishment into a wooded area behind the business.

Care Ambulance Service transported the victim to Troy Medical Center and was later transferred to a Birmingham hospital in critical condition.

Troy PD detectives are currently investigating this incident.
