It's for six individual safe rooms. Those rooms have already been approved by FEMA.
The project will cost $31, 500.
The homeowner will pay the entire amount first.
Then FEMA will reimburse them up to 75 percent.
"It provides a safe refuge for homeowners or anybody that purchases one, it gives them a place to go because their houses may not be secure enough," explained Houston County EMA Steve Carlisle.
Houston county commissioners are set to vote Monday.
