Macon Massage Parlor Closed in Prostitution Case

Posted: 1:53 PM Feb 16, 2013

Police have closed a Macon massage parlor after the owner and two women were indicted on prostitution and money laundering charges.

Reports say the indictment returned by a federal grand jury Friday came after authorities spent more than four years investigating the business.

The massage parlor's 44-year-old owner, Hyeon Joo Chae of Atlanta, was charged along with 72-year-old Kye Wol Dyreson and 49-year-old Ki Un Jordan on counts of using an interstate facility to promote prostitution and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Macon police Maj. Charles Stone says investigators have been conducting surveillance and undercover operations at the Sedona Tanning Salon, formerly known as Soft Hands Massage and Spa, since 2008.

It was not immediately known if any of the three defendants had hired attorneys.
