A Wiregrass man is "lucky” to be alive after being ejected from his vehicle and not being found for nearly six hours.

A passing motorist saw a damaged vehicle in a cotton field off Geneva County Road 4 around six this morning.

Tim Allen Foxworth's legs were trapped underneath his 1998 Chevy Lumina.

Authorities say the seatbelt was fastened, but the seat itself broke.

The vehicle reportedly overturned several times shortly after midnight.

The 23-year-old Geneva County man was transported to an area hospital for what's described as non-life threatening injuries.
