U.S. Highway 331 Bridge Referendum

It has been described as the most controversial issue ever in the history of Walton County.
On Monday, April 30th early voting will get underway on a half-cent sales tax increase to fund an additional U.S. Highway 331 bridge over the Choctawhatchee bay. The actual referendum takes place on Tuesday, May 8th. The state is asking Walton County to chip in 75 million dollars to pay for it. One area fisherman says he hopes the vote will end the bitter controversy…
