Wired Ministries Helps Out Wiregrass Non-Profit With Transitional Home

A transitional home is being updated to help women transition out of Incarceration.

Healthy you incorporated wants to welcome home women returning to the Wiregrass community.
The transitional home located in Dothan is expected to open in July. Wired Ministries is helping out by fixing up the house.

Organizers say their help comes at the perfect time. For the entire week volunteers will be cleaning, working on the yard and painting the inside and outside of the house. The Genesis II home will be a 10-bed maximum transitional housing facility.

"It's a huge help to us and it's a huge help to the ladies that are going to benefit from living in this house, it's really going to help make this house into a home for them," said Laura Stakelum, the public relations coordinator with Healthy You Inc.

Besides getting the house prepared, Healthy You Inc. is still accepting donations. Genesis II is in need of clothes for their clothes closet and more volunteers for mentoring.

Mentor training will be provided by Healthy You Inc. If you would to make a donation or volunteer your time, you can sign up by visiting www.jtfstraighttalk.com.
