The American Red Cross recently released its new flood app for Iphones, Ipads, and Android smart phone users.
Agency officials say the new app will help save lives and reduce losses from floods and flash flooding. The app is free and it gives users instant access to local and real-time information.
According to the American Red Cross, floods are the most common natural disaster in the country.
It has an alarm that will notify you if you don't have a TV or radio on and there is just a host of things that can help you prepare and advance in case we should have a flood warning or a watch," said Susan Holmes, the Wiregrass Chapter Executive for the American Red Cross.
This new Red Cross app will also help you create emergency plans.
