Geneva County officials received some great news today. Due to an anonymous sponsor, the county will now be represented during next month's China Symposium.
Houston County Commissioner Melinda McClendon passed on the good word to some of the county leaders Monday afternoon. Geneva County will receive $9000, covering the expenses of setting up a booth at the trade show, the raised money all started from a face book post sent out from Geneva county probate judge, Fred Hamic,
"These will be U.S. citizens that are working these jobs. They're not bringing Chinese laborers with them its jobs for the citizens of here in Geneva County," said Hamic.
