More than 700 middle school students got a jump start on their future careers today. It was the annual youth career summit at the Dothan Civic Center. Students connected with career professionals. Organizers say it helps prepare the kids for Alabama’s workforce.

"I learned a lot about skill requirements, working environments and a lot of that," said Aymen Kamal, an eighth grader at Girard Middle School.
