Panola Leonard of Dothan fell on hard times and needed some help when her house was falling apart.
"I went to habitat and called them and asked them if they could help. I had no idea what the answer was going to be." Penola Leonard
Well the response was yes and a team of women answered the call as part of national woman build week. Volunteers got to work turning this once tired home into the pride of the street.
"we are remodeling her kitchen we are re-doing her living room and we are also redoing her bathroom we basically rewired her whole complete house there were some wiring problems that were here and so we worked on that with the city of Dothan and now we have the plumbing going." Elizabeth Tiller
The workers young and young at heart say it makes them feel good to lend a hand.
"Yea it is and I like helping people cause you never know who might reach out and help you and where it is coming from" Volunteer
"It does feel good it brings a sense of accomplishment here helping others" Volunteer
