Anti Gambling News Conference in Montgomery

At an anti-gambling news conference in Montgomery, State Representative Jay Love calls the bingo bill going before the House today the "worst piece of legislation he's ever seen and it will only make a handful of people rich".

He also says he's going to "educate everyone and let them know we cannot have this. Casinos will be opened all across the state... it will open up full blown casinos", according to Representative Love.

Love says says "if you want to just talk about jobs here, we could legalize prostitution and drugs. We need to be advocates for good public policy".

News 4 has two reporters covering the story in Montgomery today and will have live reports at 5pm and 6pm on News 4.

Prostition and drugs have always been in the area and have nothing to do with CC and playing Bingo! Maybe this guy Jay Love knows something we don't! Have you ever noticed that these guys that run there mouths about prostitutes and drugs are the very ones that in the end get caught useing one of them!

I don't understand, why the Governor is so intent on closing Country Crossing's down. People that want to play the machines, whether Bingo, or not,are gonna do it. Like drive to Biloxi Miss., or Montgomery Al. Country Crossing's is giving, jobs, to local people, and keeping the money in Al. Theres got to be some reason, Country Crossing's is being picked on. You know, there's more electric Bingo, in Al. I don't see why Country Crossing's is being put through, so much!

This Love clown is such a fool. Is he really comparing prostitution to Bingo. This is such a far stretch to try and make the bingo people out to be criminals. This guy is another Riley puppet.

i have been to country crossings twice and enjoyed it .it is a very nice place. and provides many is good that the house will let the people decide what the majority wants. if the politicans don't see it the peoples way .don't vote for them ,or vote them out.

Dear Everyone, I am embarrassed to have given birth to such a moron. I can not believe he would say such idiotic statements. I never condoned prostitution but I love BINGO. Jay wasnt the brightest boy in the family, I am surprised you all elected him, I never voted for him. He got his brains from his father. Sincerely, Ms. Love

OOPS !I maent a US Representative, but it does'nt matter they all are just stepping stones to next higher position and he had won that US house race he would have been salivating for Shelby or Sessions spot in the Senate.

I did not vote for Jay Love when he decided to abandon his state job for a federal one and would never vote for a politician that keeps his suitcase packed for the next election. If we decriminalize drugs and prostitution in montgomery that would at least let a lot of the politicians in Montgomery come out of the closet. I'm glad we found out now what an idiot this man is now as a lowly state rep. and not a US Senator.

How can someone honestly compare prostitution and drugs being legalized to gaming? This guy is a total clown and hypocrite. He is trying to suck up to Riley and Republican party. We all remember what happened when he was running for office and he met with Gilley asking for campaign contributions and Jay said he had no problem with Country Crossing? No campaign contributions so Jay is morally against it now. I guess he thinks we Alabamians are just a bunch of dumb asses? Well Jay we aren't and we will prove it when we run you out of the office with Riley and the rest of the hypocrites!!!!! Indians have been playing the longest and are never mentioned anywhere????

My goodness..what is wrong in Montgomery anyway. Does getting elected to an office make you Judge/Jury. PUT IT ON THE BALLOT and let US decide. Maybe it is because your names were on the ballots and we voted for you, you are afraid we will make another mistake??? Treat us like the honest, educated, citizens of this state that we are and no the morons that u work with on a daily basis
