The Dothan Education Foundation hosted its 4th annual Adopt-A-School Kick Off Breakfast this morning for community members all throughout the Wiregrass.
The breakfast gave Dothan city school adopters an opportunity to connect with principals and school coordinators. During this morning's breakfast participants attended breakout sessions to collaborate on various ideas for this upcoming school year. Organizers say this is all about building a good relationship between the community and Dothan public school system.
"What we want is to make sure that this is a rewarding on both ends. It is so rewarding because they are making a difference and it's about what their bringing to the table. It's about what their talents are," said Tami Culver, the President of the Dothan Education Foundation.
There are 120 adopters in the Wiregrass community supporting the 20 Dothan public schools.
