RIVERDALE, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say two young girls were found safe after their SUV was carjacked while they were in the back seats.
Police say the suspect forced a man out of the SUV Sunday night in Riverdale, just south of Atlanta, as he told the gunman that his step-daughters were inside.
Reports say 6-year-old Jatura Sweeting and her sister, 5-year-old Jayla, were found safe in the abandoned SUV about an hour later on a street in College Park.
The girls were found later after a neighbor spotted the vehicle with its engine running and doors open. No arrests have been made.
