Chipley – Construction has begun on State Road (S.R.) 69 between U.S. 90 in Grand Ridge and S.R. 71 (Bryan Street) in Greenwood. The $4.5 million resurfacing project consists of resurfacing the existing travel lanes, minor drainage work, pavement markings, minor sidewalk replacement at S.R. 71 and traffic signal loop replacement. Alternating lane closures will occur and flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Work is expected to be completed summer 2013.
All construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
