Chipley – Construction activities begin Thursday, Jan. 3, on U.S. Highway 231 from north of Camp Flowers Road to S.R. 20 in northern Bay county.

The project consists of resurfacing the existing travel lanes, minor drainage upgrades and minor safety improvements.

The $7 million construction project is scheduled to be completed fall 2013.

All construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
