UPDATE: Foul Play Ruled Out in Panama City Woman's Death

UPDATE

The Panama City Police Department continues to investigate the death of a white female that was found in a wooded area in the 400 block of E. 15th Street on January 6, 2013, at approximately 11:00 am. The female has been identified as Ramona L. Ennis, 42 years of age.

Her next of kin has been notified. Following an autopsy that was conducted on January 7, 2013, foul play has been ruled out. The cause of death is believed to be of natural causes.

The Panama City Police Department is investigating the death of a middle-aged woman who body was found in a wooded area in the 400 block of E. 15th Street.

A man was walking in the woods around 11:00 AM Sunday morning when he spotted the body on the ground between two tents.

Panama City Police Detectives and the Medical Examiner’s investigators sealed off the area. They told NewsChannel 7 there were no signs of trauma and she was fully clothed.

It appears the female has been living in the wooded area between Harrison Ave and Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd. and had died within the past 24 to 48 hours.

The identity of the female is still being confirmed and her next of kin have not been notified.
